These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The 20% Vault products and services, including websites, member areas, downloads, PDFs, workbooks, prompts, and related communications (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are

The Services are operated by an individual creator (“we,” “us,” “our”) trading under the name The 20% Vault. We do not currently operate as a registered company.

2) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).
  • If you’re using the Services on behalf of someone else, you confirm you’re authorised to do so.

3) Accounts & access

  • Keep your login secure; you’re responsible for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if we detect sharing, scraping, or misuse (see Section 8).

4) Pricing, payments & renewals

  • We may offer one-off purchases (e.g., PDFs) and subscriptions (e.g., vault/library access).
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s own terms.
  • Prices may include or exclude GST/VAT depending on Stripe’s tax handling in your country.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel.
  • You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period.

5) Refunds

All sales are final for digital products and subscriptions. No refunds are offered, except as required by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other non-waivable rights.

6) Intellectual property & license

  • All content in the Services—including text, syntheses, frameworks, workbooks, prompts, audio, and design—is owned by us or our licensors.
  • When you buy or subscribe, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use only.
  • You must not:
    • Share, repost, publicly display, upload, resell, or redistribute our content.
    • Use our content to build a competing product, dataset, or service.
    • Remove notices or watermarks.

We may embed subtle watermarks or access controls to protect our IP.

7) Fair use & third-party works

Our syntheses are original, transformative commentary intended for education and practical application. We are not affiliated with original authors/publishers unless stated. Quotations (if any) are used under fair dealing/fair use principles.

8) Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • Share account credentials or mass-download content.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access content.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or build derivative datasets/tools from our content.
  • Use the Services for unlawful purposes or to infringe others’ rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

9) Changes & availability

We may update, pause, or discontinue any feature or content at any time (e.g., to improve quality or address legal risks). We’ll keep disruptions reasonable.

10) Educational & informational disclaimer

Our content is educational and informational. It is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. You’re responsible for how you use it and for results in your specific context.

11) Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Your statutory guarantees under the ACL (if applicable) are not excluded.

12) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses (e.g., lost profits).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services or breach of these Terms.

The Services may link to third-party sites or tools. We’re not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

15) Privacy & cookies

  • We collect and use personal data in line with our Privacy Policy (separate document).
  • Payment details are handled by Stripe.
  • We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve performance, analyse usage, and personalise content. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse or limit cookies.

17) Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection laws require otherwise.

18) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
